Jamie Flinchbaugh

Jamie Flinchbaugh is a founder and partner of the Lean Learning Center in Novi, Michigan. He shares his successful and varied experiences of lean transformation as a practitioner and leader. Jamie took part in the development, training and implementation of the Chrysler operating system and acted as a lean thought leader to help transform the operations, leadership, and thinking at DTE Energy. He also has a wide range of practical experience in industrial operations, including production, maintenance, material control, product development, and manufacturing engineering. Jamie is a graduate fellow of the highly regarded Leaders for Manufacturing Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. From MIT he received an M.S. in Engineering and an M.B.A. from the Sloan School of Management. His research thesis was on implementing lean manufacturing through factory design. He also holds a B.S. in Engineering from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA and an M.S. in Engineering from the University of Michigan. Jamie is also a member of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).

 

Andy Carlino

Andy Carlino is a founder and partner of the Lean Learning Center in Novi, Michigan, and founder and partner of Achievement Dynamics in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; a management consulting firm specializing in the principles and practices of lean. With over 20 years of experience in realworld senior management, Andy is a nationally recognized speaker, trainer, and consultant. Corporate consulting assignments have included DaimlerChrysler, Bissell, Siemens, Deere & Co., DTE Energy, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Johnson & Johnson, and Land O' Lakes. He is a certified Manufacturing Enterprise Instructor in the states of Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. Andy holds a B.S. in Engineering and a B.A. in Psychology. He is also a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ), the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME), and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).
